Questions sponsors
may ask first.
Below are answers to common questions about sponsorship, participation, customization, tax considerations, and next steps for the 2026 Virginia Black Expo.
Who produces the Virginia Black Expo?
The Virginia Black Expo is brought to you by the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce, a 501(c)(6) organization, and the VABCC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Together, these organizations support business growth, community engagement, entrepreneurship, economic mobility, and statewide impact across Virginia.
Is the Expo free to the public?
Yes. The main Virginia Black Expo experience is free to the public, but attendee registration is required. Some special events or add-on experiences, such as Sunday Brunch, may have separate ticketing.
How many attendees are expected?
The 2026 Virginia Black Expo is projected to welcome 3,000+ attendees and 150+ vendors and exhibitors at Main Street Station in Richmond, Virginia.
Can sponsorships be customized?
Yes. Custom sponsorship packages may be available based on your organization’s goals, desired visibility, community investment priorities, budget, and preferred Expo experience. Custom packages can also be aligned with corporate social responsibility, employee engagement, community outreach, or grant-related goals.
Can multiple sponsors support the stage or venue?
Yes. Some major investment areas, including venue, stage and production, transportation access, marketing, Resource Row, and vendor support, may be available as shared sponsorship opportunities. This allows multiple partners to support a major Expo need while still receiving sponsor recognition.
Are sponsorships tax-deductible?
Sponsorship payment structure may vary depending on the sponsor type, the benefits received, and whether support is made through the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce, a 501(c)(6), or the VABCC Foundation, a 501(c)(3). Please consult your accountant or tax advisor to determine how your sponsorship may be treated for tax purposes. Our team can discuss the appropriate sponsorship pathway based on your organization’s goals and requirements.
What is the deadline to sponsor?
Sponsorships are accepted as space and recognition opportunities remain available. Early commitment is strongly encouraged to maximize logo placement, promotional visibility, digital recognition, and inclusion in event materials.
Can sponsors also have a vendor booth?
Yes. Several sponsorship levels include vendor, resource, or engagement space. Booth availability and placement depend on sponsorship level, package benefits, and timing of commitment.
Is the Bike & Car Show sponsorship separate?
The Bike & Car Show is a featured activation within the Virginia Black Expo and is powered by BLKThrottleCo. Sponsorship opportunities may be available through the main Expo sponsorship package or through Bike & Car Show-specific opportunities, depending on the sponsor’s goals.
Who should we contact with questions?
Please contact the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce at info@vablackchamber.org for sponsorship questions, package discussions, invoice requests, or custom partnership conversations.
