Building Black Business Infrastructure Across Virginia

The Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce (VABCC) is a statewide business ecosystem advancing entrepreneurship, economic mobility, and regional economic growth.

Who We Are

A Statewide Business Ecosystem

The Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce (VABCC) is a 501(c)(6) membership-based organization dedicated to strengthening the economic infrastructure that supports Black-owned businesses across the Commonwealth.

We serve as a connector, convener, advocate, and capacity builder, aligning entrepreneurs, corporate partners, public agencies, and community stakeholders to drive measurable business growth and long-term economic advancement.

We do not operate as a networking club. We operate as infrastructure.

Mission

To build sustainable business ecosystems that increase revenue, expand access to capital, strengthen leadership capacity, and accelerate long-term economic mobility for Black-owned businesses across Virginia.

Vision

A Virginia where Black-owned businesses are fully integrated into supply chains, capital markets, workforce systems, and regional economic development strategies, contributing meaningfully to the Commonwealth’s long-term economic competitiveness.

Role

We operate as a statewide chamber, policy voice, strategic convener, and programmatic partner collaborating with regional economic development offices, corporations, financial institutions, and public leaders to build coordinated business infrastructure.

How We Advance Economic Growth

Entrepreneurship Growth

Through structured programming, accelerator cohorts, business development initiatives, and statewide visibility platforms, we support startups, growth-stage firms, and scaling enterprises in increasing revenue and strengthening operational capacity.

Leadership & Workforce Alignment

We equip entrepreneurs and emerging leaders with access to education, mentorship, and workforce development resources that align talent pipelines with business expansion goals.

Advocacy & Capital Access

We engage policymakers, financial institutions, and corporate procurement leaders to expand equitable access to capital, contracting opportunities, and economic inclusion initiatives that drive sustainable business growth.

A Coordinated Statewide Presence

With active engagement across Northern Virginia, Hampton Roads, Central Virginia, South West Virginia, and the Fredericksburg Region, VABCC connects local business communities into a unified statewide network, fostering collaboration, regional alignment, and shared economic advancement.

Black-owned businesses are among the fastest-growing segments of entrepreneurship in the United States.

Persistent gaps in capital access, procurement inclusion, and ecosystem integration limit scalable growth.

Virginia’s long-term economic competitiveness depends on inclusive business infrastructure that allows all enterprises to participate fully in regional development strategies.

This section should feel policy-aligned and grounded.
