
The Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce (VABCC) is in the process of establishing six Regional Councils aligned with the GO Virginia framework.
These councils will serve as local hubs connecting business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to statewide resources, advocacy, and growth opportunities.
Once fully launched, each council will help strengthen the voice and visibility of Black-owned businesses throughout the Commonwealth.

Region 1: Roanoke & New River Valley
Covers: Roanoke, Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Salem
Focus: Innovation, education, and technology growth.
Highlights: A strong regional identity with expanding tech and workforce development initiatives.
Region 2: Shenandoah Valley & Charlottesville
Covers: Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Staunton.
Focus: University engagement, agriculture, and tourism.
Highlights: Higher education institutions and small business ecosystems supporting local entrepreneurship.
Region 3: Southern Virginia (Future Expansion)
Covers: Danville, Martinsville, South Boston, Lynchburg
Focus: Rural innovation and industrial revitalization.
Highlights: Positioned for future VABCC growth, driven by manufacturing investment and economic renewal.
Region 4: Central Virginia
Covers: Richmond Metro, Petersburg, Hopewell, Chesterfield, Henrico
Focus: Policy influence, business growth, and statewide access.
Highlights: The Commonwealth’s capital region. Home to thriving corporate, small business, and advocacy networks.
Region 5: Hampton Roads
Covers: Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Newport News, Hampton
Focus: Maritime, military, contracting and tourism industries.
Highlights: A culturally rich, high-impact business community fostering collaboration and innovation across the region.
Region 6: Northern Virginia
Covers: Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Stafford, Fredericksburg

Highlights: The state’s largest concentration of Black-owned businesses and a leader in access to capital and contracting opportunities.
